The director, Alexa, was very intrigued by the idea of evolution. We wanted to explore how not only the Angels evolve through the show with their drag looks, but also how the factory workers start being influenced by Lola and her angels as well.

The script, however, does not give us any information about each individual Angel. I therefore asked Alexa if I could work with our costume designer Sam to create individual personalities and characters for each Angel. We worked together to create looks inspired by a butterfly, paint/graffiti, goth, disco barbie, flowers, and clouds/thunderstorms.
